Effortless, short hikes (up to 2 hours)
The three-day short trip takes us to the legendary Khevsureti. The unpaved road is passable only for a few months in the year. Enjoy the impressive mountain world of Khevsureti: deep green hills, bellflower carpets, hundreds of crystal-clear springs and the archaic fortified settlement Shatili, a fortress complex built of shale stone.

1Journey to Roshka & hike to the Abudelauri lakes
Zhinvali Lake, Roshka, Abudelauri lakes
Journey via the Zhinvali Resertvoir to northeast into the Greater Caucasus. The route runs along the river Pshavis Aragvi passing by the villages Barisakho, Biso and Khakhmeti and finally to the village Roshka. From there we hike to the Abudelauri lakes at the altitude of 2.500m, these are three glacier lakes of exceptionally magical atmosphere. Each lake has a different colour: the first and the largest lake is crystal clear and mirrors the green of the surrounding hills. The second lake is turquoise blue and the third one, slightly far off, is milky white surround by glacial ice.

2Shatili Bastion & hike to the Mutso ruins
Bear Cross Pass, Shatili, Anatori, Mutso ruins
Journey from Roshka over the Bear Cross Pass (2.676m) to Shatili. From there we hike upstream the river Aragvi. The route leads us along diverse nature with massive shale rocks and bizarre sandstone-shale rock formations. En route we can visit the Anatori burial chambers sheltering the remains of an entire village community, victims of a dreadful plague. The ruins of Mutso is located on a steep mountain peak and can be reached only via an unpaved mountain path. The route back can optionally be arranged in an off-road vehicle.

Overnight stay in Shatili (B/P/D)
3Old Shatili & journey back
After breakfast a small morning walk e.g. to the ruins of Old Shatili or in the region periphery. Upon request and for additional charge we can visit the Aragvi Adventure Center to have a lunch in the nature and with sufficient number of participants (4) a rafting tour on the Aragvi River.
